In a testament to its authentic natural beauty and unparalleled wildlife experiences, the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania has once again been named Africa’s Leading National Park at the prestigious World Travel Awards on Monday, marking a fifth consecutive win for this renowned protuberance.

Enveloping nearly 15,000 square kilometres of untamed wilderness, the Serengeti is a beacon to animal lovers from around the globe. Its vast open plains come alive with the rumble of over 1.5 million wildebeests annually, migrating to the Masai Mara in Kenya in pursuit of fresh grazing and water - a sight recognised globally as the largest annual movement of animals.

The park boasts the largest populations of lions and wildebeests worldwide, along with significant numbers of zebra, cape eland, and cheetahs providing an enchanting blend of biodiversity and topographical splendour. Hundreds of thousands of international visitors mark their journey every year to this captivating wilderness to witness these wonders firsthand.

The Serengeti successfully prevailed over robust competition from five other equally impressive African parks, including Masai Mara in Kenya, and top-notched parks in South Africa, Uganda, Namibia, and Botswana.
