In an exemplary display of rapid law enforcement, members of the Makhaza South African Police Service (SAPS) achieved significant success by arresting a 31-year-old male suspect implicated in a business robbery. The arrest, which occurred on Tuesday, 19 November 2024, underscores the vital role of quick police work in combating crime.
The incident unfolded at approximately 10:15 AM when Makhaza SAPS officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery at a business located on Shushu Street in Makhaza. Upon their arrival, the officers noticed two men acting suspiciously. The individuals fled the scene as the police approached, prompting a chase that led to the apprehension of one of the suspects. This individual was subsequently identified by the victim as a participant in the robbery.

There, they discovered and confiscated a PAK firearm along with ammunition, a substantial amount of undisclosed cash, and 58 packets of cigarettes.
