In a commendable display of diligence and commitment, members of the Limpopo Police Force, under the guidance of Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, have successfully apprehended a suspect linked to the burglary of a local church in the Malipsdrift area of the Capricorn District.
On the 21st of September 2024, following insightful intelligence received about the whereabouts of the stolen items, a team of three police officers, accompanied by a retired police Captain, ventured to Polokwane. Their efforts bore fruit when they captured a 30-year-old male suspect and recovered sound equipment that was previously reported as stolen.
The operation took place after the suspect allegedly conducted a business burglary at the church located in GG Section, Mathabatha within the jurisdiction of the Malipsdrift police during the early part of September. The combined value of the speakers and amplifier recovered during the arrest amounted to approximately R22,000.
Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has expressed her satisfaction with the performance of her team and went on to formally commend the officers and the assisting retired Captain for their proactive approach and rapid execution of the operation.
As a result of the arrest in Mashadi Village, Malipsdrift Section in Mathabatha, the suspect now faces serious charges. He is scheduled to appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate's Court on the 23rd of September 2024 for the adjudication of his case.
