Father-Son Duo Arrested in Ndwedwe for Gruesome Murders

In a chilling development that has shocked the local community, a father and son from Ndwedwe, a village in KwaZulu-Natal, stand accused of a string of brutal murders, their latest alleged to involve the killing of a young man whose body was found entombed in a pit latrine.

The discovery of the decomposed body last Thursday led to the arrest of the 48-year-old man and his 25-year-old son. Initially, the son's encounter with law enforcement was over an unrelated charge – the possession of an unlicensed firearm. It was as detectives dug deeper into the case that the grisly nature of their suspect’s apparent crimes unraveled.

The murder victims include a 29-year-old man, who until recently, was only reported missing. His remains were unearthed from a destroyed pit latrine in Mwolokohlo village following extensive police searches.
