Five Suspects in Court for Multimillion-Rand Platinum Theft

In a significant clampdown on illegal precious metal activities, five individuals appeared before the Tlhabane Magistrates' Court accused of involvement in a major theft case. The accused, Claudette Du Plessis (36), George Sambo (37), Michael Du Plessis (40), Alphigio Tavavinga (42), and Hendrick Viljoen (67), find themselves embroiled in allegations of stealing platinum with an estimated value of R350 million.
