Taxi Boss Arrested in Buffalo City District for Possession of Unlicensed Firearm and SAPS Gear

In a significant action against illegal firearm possession, a 54-year-old taxi owner was taken into custody by members of the Tactical Response Team in the Mzamomhle Township of Gonubie, Buffalo City District. The arrest, which occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2024, followed a tip-off that led police to execute a search warrant at the suspect’s residence. The police made their move at around 17:00, cordially notifying the owner of their intent to search his property.
