Seven People Gunned Down in North West Tavern: Provincial Commissioner Decries Shocking Incident

A somber mood has gripped the community of Extension 13, Kanana Location, near Orkney in the Klerksdorp area of North West province, following a horrifying overnight massacre.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, has expressed his vehement denouncement of the egregious act of violence that claimed the lives of seven people in a local tavern. In the early morning hours, the ordinarily peaceful establishment became the scene of a chilling crime when assailants entered the tavern and opened fire.

In what appears to be a targeted attack, the suspects sought out individuals of Basotho nationality, wantonly discharging their weapons and claiming the lives of one female and six male victims. In a bid to consolidate their heinous act, the perpetrators orchestrated a heist, confiscating the establishment’s CCTV system, which might have provided vital evidence; they also seized cash from the till and made away with properties, including a snooker table. Their spree of theft and intimidation continued as they robbed other patrons of their valuable possessions, taking cell phones before making their escape from the scene.
