In a brazen daylight robbery, a motorcyclist fell victim to a violent assault and theft on Old Main Road near the vicinity of Woodview Park in KwaZulu-Natal. As reported, the male motorcyclist was forcefully taken off the road by passengers in an unidentified vehicle. The unsettling event escalated quickly when the individuals proceeded to run over the biker before robbing him of his cellphone.

Members of the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) came to the victim's aid after one of the patrolling officers found the injured man lying on the roadside, adjacent to his Big Boy motorcycle. The victim, who was conscious at the time, recounted his ordeal to the RUSA officer, stating that the perpetrators had knocked him off his motorcycle and subsequently run him over with their vehicle.

A witness at the scene corroborated the victim's account, confirming the sequence of events to the authorities. According to the reports, after committing the assault and robbery, the attackers made a swift getaway in their vehicle, leaving the injured motorcyclist behind. The direction in which the assailants fled remains unknown.

The victim, whose identity has been withheld for security reasons, sustained moderate injuries. Fortunately, despite the violence of the encounter, the injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Emergency services were alerted and provided the necessary medical attention to the male victim at the scene.
