Shocking details have surfaced in the ongoing trial of the late Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa's murder, with South African singer Kelly Khumalo at the center of controversial allegations. In the latest court session at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, the magistrate read a confession from Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, one of the accused, suggesting Khumalo's involvement in orchestrating the crime.

The court heard how Ntanzi made a second confession on June 24, 2020, specifying how he and his co-accused planned the hit that ominously played out on October 26, 2014, at Khumalo's Vosloorus home. During the rendition of the statement, Ntanzi recounted receiving calls from co-accused Fisokuhle Ntuli to partake in the "job," following which they met to strategize the murder.

Khumalo's alleged involvement was detailed through accounts of phone conversations between her and Mthokoziseni Maphisa, one of the men Ntanzi claimed was involved in the hit. On their approach to the home, another significant call was made to confirm their arrival, as mentioned in Ntanzi's confession.

Inside the house, a fatal scuffle ensued leading to Meyiwa's death, during which, according to the confession, Khumalo seemed to give directions on revealing a particular item Mncube was attempting to locate. Ntanzi's statement described the moments post-murder with a vivid depiction of fear and threats made against him.

The trial also highlighted the connections between Khumalo and the fifth accused, Ntuli, with call records presented by Colonel Lambertus Steyn confirming their communication 11 days prior to the crime. Steyn, part of the Cold Case Unit, drew attention to the multiple phone numbers linked to Khumalo and their registered connections to her through various verification systems.

These unsettling revelations present a complicated and intricate narrative that has gripped the nation as the trial continues to unearth details surrounding the death of the famed soccer star.
