KZN Father Detained for Human Trafficking and False Kidnapping Report

In a disturbing sequence of events emerging from Isenembe, north of Durban, a KwaZulu-Natal father has been arrested and charged with human trafficking involving his own daughter. The suspect, a 43-year-old man, was taken into custody following police investigations that revealed a shocking facade behind what was initially reported as a kidnapping case of his 14-year-old daughter.

Last month, the father reported the alleged kidnapping, leading to the mobilization of the Police Search and Rescue team. It was during their relentless search that things began to unravel. The girl was discovered strolling along Jabu Ngcobo Drive with a 23-year-old undocumented foreign national on a Friday, contrary to the father's claims of her abduction.

Not only did it become clear that the girl had left her home voluntarily with the foreign national, but the father had been fully aware of her whereabouts all along.
