Heroic Intervention by Off-Duty Officers Prevents Tragedy at Lakewood Church in Houston

In a striking display of bravery and quick action, two off-duty law enforcement officers, identified as a Texas alcoholic beverage commission agent and a Houston police officer, successfully averted what could have been a devastating mass shooting at Joel Osteen’s megachurch in Houston, Texas.

At approximately 2 p.m. local time, a woman in her early 30s entered the church premises, brandishing a long rifle. Notably, accompanying her was a child around the age of five years. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner detailed the harrowing moments during a press conference.
