The triumphant Springbok rugby team is expected to celebrate their significant win at the Rugby World Cup with generous bonuses from SA Rugby. This news was disclosed at the OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday by SA Rugby president, Mark Alexander.

Although World Rugby does not offer prize money for winning the tournament, SA Rugby has for four years been diligently planning and allocating resources towards potential win bonuses for the players. This well-thought-out initiative facilitates the performance and morale of the players, mitigating the impact of monetary decisions at the eve of the tournament.

"Our players will receive prize money which we have planned for four years in advance," stated Mark Alexander. This level of strategic foresight has been praised by sports minister Zizi Kodwa, who applauded SA Rugby's exceptional structure and organization.

The Springboks' journey to winning the Rugby World Cup in France, culminating in a nail-biting 12-11 victory over New Zealand in the finals held at Stade de France, fully validates the rewards. The team also impressively won by single point margins against tough contenders- France and England in the quarterfinal and semifinal respectively.

Given this milestone victory, as part of the recognition to the team, President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared December 15 a public holiday.
