In a move that establishes a profound nexus between the present and the past, the South African Navy has unveiled a new multi-mission inshore patrol vessel named after the legendary King Shaka Zulu. Basking in profound satisfaction, the Zulu royal family applauded this monumental tribute to the founding king and hero of the Zulu nation.

The naming ceremony was held on Friday at the South African Navy base in Durban, with key attendees including King Misuzulu Ka Zwelithini, the reigning Zulu monarch. He lauded the unveiling in his address and bestowed blessings on the initiative. Adding to the royal approval was Prince Africa Zulu, spokesperson for the Zulu royal family, who expressed their overflowing joy at the gesture from the SA Navy.
