The much-anticipated Time Out Market in Cape Town has unveiled its official opening date. Commencing operations on November 17, the market is poised to amalgamate the city's best culinary experiences, drinks, and cultural excursions.
With 13 local culinary talents and restaurateurs, four bars, and one stage, the Time Out Market is set to provide a gastronomic extravaganza. Visitors will be able to taste the very best of Cape Town's food scene through a range of unique catering concepts.
One of the recent reveals about the market’s all-star line-up is the partnership between Peter Tempelhoff from the World's 50 Best Restaurants, FYN, and chef Shin Takagi. Together they introduce Sushiya, a unique destination for premium sushi and a reaffirmation of their devotion to sustainability, superior crafts, and authentic ingredients.
Sushiya’s menu, created exclusively for the market, provides a feast with small pickled and preserved tastes of Japan through nigiri platters, maki, and gunkan maki plates and other delectable dishes.
Another culinary maestro to relish is Hitesh Panchal with his venture Kapoochka. Highlighting Indian street food with an innovative twist, Panchal takes diners on a culinary tour of his home country’s timeless flavors. A hero dish, pani puri, exhilarating tandoori meats, and a surprising twist on dessert puris will leave guests craving for more.
Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town, expressed excitement about the upcoming opening. He relayed his team's commitment to curating a fresh culinary and cultural experience in the city, underscoring the establishment's essence of presenting the city’s rich and diverse culinary heritage and budding talents.
Starting November 17, the Time Out Market Cape Town is open from 11 am to 10 pm on Sundays to Wednesdays and from 11 am to 11 pm on Thursdays to Saturdays.
