Kamo Mphela has made a historic mark in the South African music scene with her new single 'Dalie'. Released just last Friday, the song has already accumulated over a million streams across various platforms in less than a week. This massive achievement led Mphela to become the first lead South African artist to have a song amass over 100,000 daily streams on South African Spotify.

This feat renders Mphela the most recent artist to achieve such spectacular digits on SA Spotify, joining international stars like Adele. Relishing the achievement, Mphela took to Instagram to extend gratitude to her team and fans. Her message was accompanied by a graphic displaying her impressive streaming numbers.

Adding to its mounting success, 'Dalie' has currently topped the Audiomack South Africa charts, and is leading the Apple Music charts in Zimbabwe and Malawi. It also ranks second in the YouTube and Apple Music charts in Tanzania, and on the Shazam charts in South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Ghana. Mphela’s work is also showcased across various playlist covers on Spotify and Apple Music.

"Dalie", a collaborative piece with Tyler ICU, Khalil Harrison, and Baby S.O.N, marks Mphela’s most impactful record since 2021’s 'Nkulunkulu'. Her previous releases had failed to achieve such unanimous positive response, guiding her back to reclaim her dropped form.

Fans expressed their admiration and praise on various social media platforms, with @daaiboy crediting Mphela’s unique talents and @babby_larrie accrediting Mphela as a gift to the music scene.
