On Monday morning, a surprising turn of events unveiled at a PEP store in Marsh Street, Mossel Bay, as it became the scene of a shocking robbery. The local police reported two armed suspects, who are still at large, followed an unsuspecting employee to the cash register just minutes past the store's opening hour.
Lt Col Malcolm Pojie, the police spokesperson, narrated the encounter: "The employee was threatened with a firearm. The suspects then boldly demanded cash." They loaded an undisclosed amount of money into a black backpack before making a swift getaway.
Pojie confirmed that nobody was injured during the unfortunate incident, putting slight ease to the jitters of the already anxious community.
The Mossel Bay detectives have descended upon this case, investigating the robbery in depth. As of now, the authorities are urging potential witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to step forward.
