The South African Football Association (Safa) has officially endorsed Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, after their national executive committee's unanimous approval at a meeting held last Sunday.
Safa spokesperson released a definitive statement, “Saudi Arabia's efforts to position itself as a prominent player in global football have not gone unnoticed. The National Executive Committee (NEC) appreciates the considerable investment the Middle East Gulf state has made. Their commitment to advancing their football league, attracting eminent players from around the world, is a testament to their resolve.”
The authority further expressed their faith in Saudi Arabia's capacity and infrastructure to host an event of such magnitude, referring to their significant advancements in not only football but in overall sports culture and development.
