Paris Fashion Week was treated to an exceptional South African fashion display as Decorum Stylists, a luxury tailoring brand from South Africa, unveiled their inaugural collection, 'Afrika Borwa ya Rona.' Founded by the dynamic Mokgatle duo, Mphahlela and Rethabile, the brand is increasing the stature of South African fashion on a global level.
Decorum Stylists is noted not just for its exquisite tailoring, but also for its commitment to celebrate client individuality through customised apparel, irrespective of gender. In a statement, Mphahlela rightly described the brand as "a statement of refined elegance." The brand's mission revolves around offering clients a unique, tailored experience that enhances both their confidence and style.
Each piece in the 'Afrika Borwa ya Rona' collection is designed to radiate the richness of South Africa's heritage. This is evident in the modern twist given to traditional Zulu regalia in some of the designs. This blend of tradition and contemporary fashion sensibilities is a testament to the Mokgatles' ability to produce competitive, internationally appealing designs.
The Decorum Stylists brand has also found favour among the elite, most notably South African football legend, Phumudzo Manenzhe, who sports their suits with custom detailing and name tags.
As expressed in their Instagram post, the Decorum team expressed gratitude towards their supporters and shared their honour in being able to present 'Afrika Borwa ya Rona' to the world – a breathtaking representation of Mzansi's richness.
