Build One South Africa (BOSA) Leader, Mmusi Maimane, in his first anniversary celebration, revealed his aspirations for South Africa's presidency during the 2024 general elections. The announcement was made in Tshwane, signifying BOSA's aspiration to govern from the Union Buildings.

Maimane expressed optimism for South Africa's future, believing that even overriding the ANC is a possibility. Speaking metaphorically, he highlighted that it was time for a figurative David to challenge a towering Goliath, a notion reflecting his readiness to take on longstanding political opponents.

In detailing BOSA's strategies, Maimane spotlighted job creation as a priority. He claimed plans for invigorating economic zones, investing an overwhelming R200 billion in townships, and the introduction of a six-month government institution internship for the unemployed. He further intends to establish a "jobs and justice" fund, encouraging successful companies to contribute towards new businesses' sustenance.

BOSA aims to combat rising crime numbers through decentralizing policing and recruiting an additional 120,000 police officers. Maimane further presented resolutions to rectify the energy crisis through the promotion of renewable energy. In a bid to uplift the South African economy, improved trade relations with international counterparts such as the United States, the European Union, and other African nations were also proposed.
