A significant number of roads across Cape Town, South Africa have become impassable due to harsh weather conditions. Motorists are encouraged to stay updated and plan their routes carefully as several key thoroughfares have been closed for the safety of the public.

The severe weather, characterized by strong winds and heavy rainfall, has caused havoc on Cape Town's roads. The city's Traffic Officers are on high alert handling the numerous closures brought on by these adverse conditions.

Some of the critical road closures that motorists should be aware of include Jakes Gerwel Road, Baden Powell Drive, Phillip Kgosana Drive, Milton Road, Granger Bay Boulevard, Bottelary Road, and Gordons Bay Main Road. Additionally, minor mudslides have been reported on Victoria Road in Camps Bay.

In related news, a Golden Arrow bus has overturned, necessitating immediate response from the city's emergency services. Spokesperson for Cape Town Traffic Services, Kevin Jacobs, stated that authorities are actively on the scene.

For the safety of motorists and to mitigate potential accidents, several safety tips have been recommended. Drivers are advised to exercise caution by reducing speeds to maintain control over vehicles in slippery conditions, increase following distances from the vehicle in front, stay abreast of road closures and weather updates, and seek alternative routes to bypass closed roads and potential hazards. Moreover, motorists are urged to stay vigilant for fallen trees and road debris.
