Culpable Homicide Case Under Investigation following Fatal Garden Route Crash

Riversdale police are closely investigating the horrifying car crash that happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, leading to two fatalities and multiple minor injuries. The accident occurred when a vehicle, identified as an Opel Corsa Lite, inexplicably crashed through the security fence of Oakdale High School in the town.



The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Fazil Jacobs and 57-year-old Jacob John. Fazil Jacobs tragically lost his life at the site of the accident while Jacob John later succumbed to his injuries at the Riversdale Hospital, according to the police spokesperson.



In a distressing turn of events, the police said that four other passengers, including a man, a woman, and two young children, also sustained minor injuries due to the crash. They were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment and are currently recovering.


Police are treating the incident as a case of culpable homicide and are diligently working on the investigation to determine the cause of the accident and assign responsibility appropriately.
