With Manie Libbok stepping up as Springboks' attacking genius, South African Rugby is witnessing a significant transformation in its gameplay. Traditionally known for their defensive and penalty game, the team now showcases an offensive strategy, primarily due to the prowess of Manie Libbok.

Although Libbok had to face criticism for missing three shots in the recent World Cup opening win against Scotland, his contribution to the team's match-play does not diminish. The decision of attempting a long-range penalty, which was out of his reach, might have been unwise, however, Libbok's effectiveness on the field is indubitable.

Despite deserving a goal-kicker with an 85-90% success rate, it's not always possible to link the team's success with numbers alone. Hence, longing for injured Handre Pollard's return as a solution seems redundant when Libbok is leaving no stone unturned to prove his mettle in the game.

Bok coach, Jacques Nienaber, recognizing Libbok's potential, continues to back him. Nienaber echoes the necessity for the South Africans to evolve from their traditional playing style to face the rigours of modern rugby. "We have had to adapt," states Nienaber, emphasizing the need to alter their game approach.

Siya Kolisi, the Bok captain, reiterated the same last week. Expressing his excitement over the transformations in play, Kolisi explained that while they have to stick to some of their core strengths, there is no chance of winning if they don't adapt.

Libbok, carrying his natural attacking game from his Stormers phase, adds exceptional dynamism to the Bok's gameplay. His skills, ranging from left-footed chips to tackling the defence with ball-in-hand, makes the Boks a formidable attacking force.

While South Africans are used to tight World Cup games with a defensive strategy, the team can now count on a more open, attacking strategy without solely relying on scrum or maul penalties.

Libbok's offensive brilliance surpasses his goal-kicking abilities, adding a new dimension to the Bok team, leading them towards undisputed victories. With Libbok on the field, South Africa has not lost a Test, further validating his indispensable role in the team's success.
