Tech giant Apple has announced the release of its latest devices, including the highly anticipated iPhone 15 and the second-generation of AirPods Pro. Revealed at their Cupertino headquarters on Tuesday, the new products will hit the markets on September 22.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are designed with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, mimicking their forerunners. Moreover, high-end versions, specifically the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, are priced at $999 and $1,199—commanding the spotlight with an innovative “action button” that can be customised for various functions. An added feature sees a change in metal, using titanium for sidebars rather than stainless steel.

Celebrating a progressive move towards the USB-C charging standard among all the new iPhones and AirPods Pro, Apple surrenders the previous Lightning port. The USB-C connectivity promises an expedited transfer of high-quality video content directly onto professionals' hard drives.

In camera capabilities, all new models feature a 48-megapixel main camera with the Pro Max boasting a remarkable 5X optical zoom and 3X telephoto functionality. The Pro devices also offer an immersive video recording experience, capturing “spatial” or three-dimensional videos.

Aside from enhancing connectivity, the upgraded iPhone's satellite capabilities now extend to calling for roadside assistance, a feature initially launched in the U.S. in collaboration with the American Automobile Association (AAA).

Powering the devices, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus feature an A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro and the Pro Max boast an A17 Pro Chip. This hardware upgrade makes these devices ideal for high-end mobile gaming.

In a nod to sustainable practices, the batteries of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are made entirely out of recycled cobalt.

Finally, the second-generation AirPods Pro, priced at $249, offers improved sound quality with active noise cancellation facilities and comes in a variety of ear-tip sizes.
