Proteas Women Triumph in Pakistan ODI Series

The South African Proteas Women have trounced opposition, Pakistan, in a six-wicket victory to claim an unassailable 2-0 ODI series. Breaking personal records, all-rounder Nadine de Klerk and lead seam bowler Masabata Klaas made an undeniable impact on the outcome.



Nadine De Klerk delivered a stellar bowling performance, culminating in a career-best of four for 32. Working in concert, Masabata Klaas returned three for 14, her best in an ODI, causing Pakistan to fold at 168 all out.


Despite losing the toss, Proteas Women made a resounding comeback, meeting the target within just 34 overs. Their exhibiting prowess on the field secured further two points on the ICC Women's Championship table, which puts them steadily in fifth place.



The victorious Proteas Women have demonstrated stunning form in the ongoing championship, achieving five wins out of five games. Their efforts not only mark auspicious headway towards the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 but have also bolstered their standings in the ICC Women’s Championships, where they now occupy fifth position.


The third and final ODI match with Pakistan is slated for Thursday at the famed National Stadium in Karachi.
