The Premiere League's weekend situated Manchester City at the top with a perfect record, sitting Wenger's men, the Reds and Spurs' close behind with a marginal two-point gap after impressive victories. Erling Haaland was again at his best as he fired three magnificent goals to deliver a 5-1 triumph for the city against Fulham.

In similar fashion, Son Heung-min also oriented a treble, leading Tottenham to an inspiring 5-2 win over Burnley. Things went smoothly for Liverpool as well, with a neat 3-0 sweep against Aston Villa at Anfield.

At Manchester United, after an intense game that dribbled into stoppage time, Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus emerged as the heroes, securing Arsenal's 3-1 victory.

Despite not being tapped by Arsenal for his goals, Declan Rice's decisive first strike for his new club, placing his team 2-1 ahead in the 96th minute, was incredibly timely. This feat marked an excellent start to his Gunner career, celebrating his first goal in just his fourth Premier League game for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, at Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino's reign does not seem to be getting any easier. After a substantial spending spree, that went beyond £1 billion in a little over a year, the team still struggles to find the natural goalscorer they need. Nicolas Jackson, despite having two great opportunities to equalise, couldn't deliver, leading to a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

There is a ray of sunshine at Liverpool, where Jurgen Klopp seems to be returning to his ringcraft. Having had to rebuild the midfield during the transfer window, the Reds showcased an overwhelmingly strong game against Villa. The team performance was further enhanced by Dominik Szoboszlai's first goal after his big move from RB Leipzig, playing a part in Liverpool's ascension.
