The tech world is buzzing with the latest debut from Nvidia, the unveiling of their innovative Blackwell chips at the GTC conference, signaling a significant advancement in artificial intelligence (AI) computing capabilities. Despite soaring expectations, the official reveal of the new chips only slightly dampened Nvidia's stock by approximately 1% in extended trading. Breaking the mold of conventional manufacturing, Blackwell's ambitious design is realized through a novel dual-chip system that allows for seamless integration, fabricated using Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s 4NP technique. As part of Nvidia's cutting-edge "superchip" series, Blackwell will be integrated with the company's central processing unit, Grace, and can be combined with new networking chips following either InfiniBand or Ethernet standards.
