J.G. Meiring High School SGB Tackles Violence with Community Patrol Plan

In response to a worrying trend of violence at J.G. Meiring High School, the school's governing body (SGB) has put forward a proactive plan to safeguard its pupils. This initiative comes against the backdrop of a recent piercing incident where a grade 11 student was stabbed in front of the school premises, located in the suburb of Goodwood, Cape Town.

Roberts emphasized the importance of a combined effort from both parents and school authorities, stating, "We would want to stand side by side with parents because these are our kids at the end of the day. If the parents come on board as a key stakeholder and support us in the afternoons to be visible and patrol, join hands with us in the afternoons, in the mornings and let's do what we can."
