With speed and style, Automobili Lamborghini has raced to record-breaking sales and profit numbers in the first nine months of 2023, marking new milestones in the Italian automaker's rich history.

For the first time ever, sales exceeded the €2 billion mark after only nine months, reflecting a 5.2% growth year on year. The surge in revenues also saw the automaker record an operating result of €618 million, exceeding the entire fiscal results of 2022.

The company revealed it had sold a total of 7,744 cars between January and September 2023. This represents an increase of 4.2% compared to 2022, with the Urus and Huracan - the internal combustion engine models - being the leading contributors to this sales record. Both models are sold out until the end of production, scheduled for the second half of 2024 when Lamborghini plans to fully hybridise its range.

The company's electrification strategy was showcased in the swing to hybrid supercars. In March 2023, Lamborghini launched the Revuelto, a hybrid supercar that replaced the Aventador model and is the most potent road-going Lamborghini to date. The Lanzador, the first fully electric model expected in 2028, was introduced in August.

Placing its future in electric and hybrid technology, Automobili Lamborghini charted its journey through the "Direzione Cor Tauri” strategy.

Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann notes, "The Direzione Cor Tauri program will continue over the upcoming months with major advances, underscored by customer deliveries of Revuelto, the first plug-in hybrid in our history.”

The company plans to make 2023 its most successful financial year yet, bolstered by the final quarter's expectations, as mentioned by Paolo Poma, MD and CFO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The United States remains the largest market for Lamborghini, with 2,342 cars delivered in the first three quarters of 2023. Germany (709 units), the UK (688), China (643), Japan (434), Middle East (370), and Italy (336) followed. Despite these strong numbers, Lamborghini is not slowing down, with new dealerships launching as part of its growth strategy across 54 markets.
