In a pioneering initiative spanning from October 27 to November 5, the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy (BHRC) will be transformed into a floristic spectacle dubbed 'Garden Town Stellenbosch.' This premier event will offer an experiential journey through a myriad of nature and culinary adventures, set amidst South Africa's floral heritage.

Visitors are invited to traverse the BHRC's sprawling 1,500 hectares, housing the critically endangered Renosterveld. This biologically rich and ecologically sensitive area with 130km of mountain bike trails and picturesque hiking routes provides a holistic exploration of the region's flora and fauna.

The event's comprehensive agenda also includes wine-tasting experiences from 50 member farms immersed in the captivating Bottelary Hills landscape. This initiative is endorsed by Visit Stellenbosch, the Stellenbosch Municipality, and Stellenbosch Wine Routes, making it a potent catalyst for promoting tourism and invigorating the burgeoning experiential economy.

Additional opportunities for engagement include guided walks, historic estate explorations, and hiking expeditions. Sessions limited by capacity also include tastings at notable venues such as Kunjani Restaurant, JC le Roux, and Devon Valley Hotel. Proceeds from certain activities are earmarked for Froggies Aftercare, a non-profit organization dedicated to community impact.

In association with WWF Conservation, Mooiplaas Wine Estate offers an intricate hike and wine tasting led by Tielman Roos, a prominent local viticulturist. Fitness enthusiasts can also join the 'Viva Magenta' themed running event or partake in the Ride4Renosterveld MTB Challenge at Jordan Wine Estate.

The ten-day event will culminate in a crafty affair featuring painting sessions, flower crown crafting, vineyard explorations, and elucidation of intriguing microgreen cultivation techniques.
