The South African homeland of Pretoria is no stranger to innovation but the latest achievement from Milkor has everyone's eyes skyward. The local defense and technology company has launched the Milkor 380, the largest drone ever produced in the African landscape.
As stated by Milkor's representative, Daniël du Plessis, the unmanned air vehicle's prime target market is the Defence industry. But its potential reach goes far beyond that. The drone will also play a significant role in border control and act as a powerful tool against poaching.
The Milkor 380's sheer physical dominance is matched by its impressive performance capability. Having made its inaugural flight just a month ago, the drone proved itself capable of staying airborne for an unbroken 35-hour stretch.
Even though the production of this gargantuan drone comes with a high expense, financial commitment from international governments is already flowing in. Bolstering this show of faith, the firm plans to have five Milkor 380's airborne before the culmination of 2023. From Pretoria to the global defense sphere, Milkor's innovative technology is proving itself as a game-changer.
