ICASAsePUSH has broken into the South African market as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) offering SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service, already nearing its 400th unit sold. These impressive numbers are made more noteworthy given the still-prevalent regulatory barriers and the ICASA's apprehension towards these “grey imports” of Starlink kits. However, ICASAsePUSH continues to distribute and manage Starlink services, maintaining a hopeful eye towards regulatory change.

Alongside other foreign entities like Starsat Africa, ICASAsePUSH sells the Starlink services by importing kits into Mozambique before distributing to South African customers. The one-time cost for a Starlink individual kit is R14,999, with an additional sign-up and monthly fee of R1,500. By presenting competitive pricing models, the ISP furthers consumer acquisition, particularly amid the rigorous Starlink activation and testing protocol at their facilities.

Despite remaining optimistic about the changing regulatory environment, ICASAsePUSH has plans to consider rebranding should the ICASA's current stance continue. Nonetheless, the ISP remains committed to proving their confidence in Starlink's capabilities. The company disclosed that they are currently working towards becoming an autonomous authorised reseller of Starlink equipment and that all their offices are powered by SpaceX's stellar internet technology.

ICASA, however, was not immediately available to comment on the developments.
