Fuel Prices Predicted to Dip in November, AA Reports

The Automobile Association (AA) announced recently that there might be a slight decrease in November's fuel prices. Based on unaudited mid-month data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF), the AA has made this prediction that could lead to welcome relief for South African motorists.

Based on this data, ULP95 is set to decrease by about R1.97/litre, and ULP93 by roughly R1.92/l. Diesel is also tagged for a decrease, dropping around 78c/litre, while the price of illuminating paraffin is anticipated to fall by 74c/l.

The AA emphasises that these significant decreases come at a crucial time for South Africans, many of whom have been stretched thin financially due to repeated cycles of fuel increases. The constant uptick in fuel prices has pushed locals to shell out more to keep their vehicles running and to cater for their grocery needs.

The CEF's data indicates that more stable international oil prices are the main driver behind these potential decreases for November. However, the AA has warned that the ongoing conflict in Israel could still pose a threat, possibly having a negative impact on the final adjustment, which is still two weeks away.
