The City of Cape Town hailed a momentous economic growth fueled by media investments and events that added over R5 billion to the city's economy in 2022, and catalysed the creation of more than 35,000 jobs. This remarkable achievement was announced by the City's Events and Film Management official, Leonora de Souza-Zilwa, at the Loeries 2023 Creative Awards.
In addition to appreciating the organisers' consistent choice of Cape Town as the host city for the Loeries Creative Week for the third year in a row, De Souza-Zilwa emphasized that this gesture significantly contributes to the injection of resources into the city's economy, thereby bolstering economic growth and creating thousands of job opportunities.
The Loeries Creative Awards, the only accolade across Africa and the Middle Eastern diaspora to influence the global WARC Creative 100, attract numerous industry leaders to participate in awards evenings, master classes, seminars, workshops and networking dinners.
